African American Parent Advisory Committees (AAPACs)
We support districts and schools in developing high-functioning AAPACs that foster authentic parent engagement, build trust, and strengthen outcomes for African American students. Services include, but are not limited to:
Climate & Culture Assessment: Facilitation of processes to assess school climate and culture and their impact on African American students’ academic, behavioral, and wellness outcomes.
Trust-Building: Activities and structures that strengthen relationships between parents, district leaders, and school leaders.
Strategic Planning & Progress Monitoring: Support for AAPACs in setting goals, creating action plans, and establishing systems to track progress and impact.
Professional Development: Training for parents and school leaders on evidence-based strategies for high-functioning AAPACs.
Parent Engagement & Partnership: Facilitation of activities that position AAPACs as authentic partners in shaping district and school priorities
